Mr. Gary Barton teaches weld- ing, auto mechanics, general shop, general metals, and mechanical drawing. He is a graduate from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado. This was Mr. Barton’s third year at OHS, and he likes it very much. He previously taught at Udall for six years. He greatly enjoys fishing, hunting — and, of course, teaching! Roberta Hinkson teaches typing, of- fice practice, business law, business math, and accounting. This is her first year at OHS, and she loves it. “It means getting to be around young people who I can teach and love.” Ms. Hinkson graduated from Emporia State Univer- sity, and has been teaching for three years. She enjoys playing basketball, farming, typing, and rearing Crystal. Her business law class went to see an interesting trial; she enjoys teaching students a new thing, which is what each class does. She is looking forward to next year. Mrs. Aurelia McDaniels teaches geometry, algebra 1, al- gebra 2, and general math. She got her degree from the Univer- sity of Wichita, and has been teaching for 17 years. She has taught in Derby, Lenora, Mul- vane, Maize, and has spent her last six years at Oxford. As hob- bies, Mrs. McDaniels enjoys sewing, traveling, crafts, and working with mathematics. Her retirement plans include re- decorating their house, travel- ing, and part-time tutoring. “My work here at Oxford has meant a lot to me and I hate to leave. I’ll miss all of you.”
