HBXWNIAN ' was sw is s Q if iimsi ' , we W llilll li rt in i l f I if JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY A Class History, like a biography, is likely to resemble unspiked punch unless presented by an artist. So if this brief discourse fails to till the reader with envy at not being a member of our class, it is not because our life has not been a happy, adventurous and profitable one. As we look back over the race-track around which we have nearly sprinted, we recall various stops that we have made along the way. Those were the times when we paused to snatch olive-branches for various events ever after memorable. It would be impossible to list all of these occasions because of the limited space, but a few of them are: All Athletics, '22, Tug-of-XYar, 22, and a class song written the same year that has become a recognized college favorite. The Freshman-Junior team won the basketball game on Campus Day. '24, and the Juniors also won honors in the jumps, dashes and three-legged race at the same time. One of our members was elected Campus Day Chairman by the student body, and due to her executive ability the day was the most success- ful one for years. As Freshmen. we had in our group several who were such geniuses along the musical line that they left our midst the following fall and were admitted to the Junior ranks. And our class this year also consists of several who have also cut across the corner of the track laboriously covered by the Sopho- mores. Besides athletic geniuses and musical prodigies we claim as members several rivals of Sarah Bernhardt, who have caused us to expand to the burst- ing point with pride as plays are put on each year. Not only are we supplying the nation with those who can provide for it the pleasures of life. .lust as broad-minded individuals would choose wisely, so have we acted in choosing the members of our caste. The nation shall not go hungry. Wie can, at a minute's notice, send out those who are capable and experienced at feeding the starving multitudes, whether they be in schools, hospitals or at large. Having thus far successfully neared the tape with Miss Macdonald, our Sponsor, as our source of zeal and inspiration, we expect to reach it next year under her continued leadership, with credit to ourselves and the Institution.
