CLASS HISTORY President—Rory Davis Vice Pres.—Diane Niederer Secretary—Beth Page Treasurer—Deena Castellion As our last year in high school comes to a close, it is only natural that we would view it with mixed emotions. There is the excitement and anticipation of starting a new life and the sadness of leaving old friends. Looking back at the history of the Class of 1985, we find many memories. In our freshman year, we were led by Mike Honkomp as president. Tara Mannion served as vice-president. Julie Wright took notes and Deena Castellion handled the money. During this year, we earned $489. During our sophomore year, we were under the care of David Benjamin as president. Tara Mannion returned as vice- president. Andrea Hall served as secretary and Julie Wright took control of the money. We also held the annual Sadie Hawkins dance. Mike Honkomp and Cathie Lanning were the king and queen of the dance. During the year we earned $2,085. As juniors, David Benjamin was gladly welcomed back as president. Brian Murphy was second in command. Deena Castellion once again was our treasurer while Kelli Yarnes became secretary. To raise money for prom we sold maga- zines and earned $2,400. Our theme song for prom was “Faithfully.” With an oriental theme, the gym was decorated in red, black, and gold with umbrellas, fans, lanterns, cherry blossom trees, and a pagoda. Julie Wright was crowned Queen and was escorted by Mike Fleming. The princesses were Kim Emerson and Valarie Kolis. SENIORS AT LAST! Rory Davis took charge with Diane Niederer backing him up. Beth Page served as secretary and Deena Castellion completed her third year as treasurer. Kim Emerson escorted by Brian Murphy was voted Home- coming Queen. First princess was Michele Burrell and second princess was Valarie Kolis. As graduation draws near, we gather our new ideas and all of our old memories. One of the best memories we take with us will have to be our “WILD AND CRAZY YEAR AT THE TOP!!” Seniors 21
