THE CLASS OF 1980 As our last year in high school comes to a close, it's only natural that we would view it with mixed emotions. There is an excitement and anticipation of starting a new life and the sadness of leaving old friends. Looking back at the history of the class of 1980, we can find many memories. In our freshman year we were headed by Vince Schmidt, with Lindy Wright as v.p., Jolinda Nelson as treasurer, and Fred Cotwald was class secretary. As sophomores Vince Schmidt served a second term as president with Rusty Foster backing him up. Teri Post took care of the money, and Jolinda Nelson served as secretary. We started making money by selling stationery and having sock hops. Joanne Race was class president in our junior year, and Rich Marks was second-in-command. Teri Post was treasurer and Robbin Rogers was secretary. The year got kicked off with our successful magazine sale. We sold enough to win a stereo, much to the dismay of the cafeteria ladies. Our Junior Prom Queen was Teri Post, Rusty Foster was King and the Princesses were Sigrid Mortensen and Anne Jenness. In our senior year Dale Dejong took charge with Flooty Marks serving his second term as v.p. Flat McKenzie was elected treasurer and Anne Jenness was secretary. Our Homecoming Queen was Karin Logerfo; Pat Farrell was King. Princesses were Joanne Race and Debbie Van Brunt.
