In Appreciation Mrs. Marion R. Jeffords It is with a warm feeling that we write these words in appreciation of what Mrs. Jef- fords has personified during her intermittent connections with Oxford Academy and Central School over a period of some thirty years as a teacher of French. English, and history. Several times in recent years, she has thought that she was in retirement only to be called back to help out. Those last words seem to characterize Mrs. Jeffords in the minds of her friends, students and acquaintances. For others appears to be the motto of her life as expressed by her deeds of unselfishness and thoughtfulness of those about her. A student who had had her as a teacher a number of years ago said. She was always so understanding. A friend of long-standing spoke of her as a born teacher,” who was always willing to give extra time to help a student. May we add that we miss her very much and hope sincerely that she may receive the good things of life that she so rightly deserves. 5
