Foreword A garden best depicts the sentiments that we, the class of Nine- teen Hundred and Fifty-seven, hold for our high school life. The years we have spent in school have been the cultivating period of our lives. Our teachers have been gardening with us since we en- tered first grade. Our food has been comprised of many and varied courses of studyg our extra-curricular activities, dances, and parties have supplied us with an abundance of sunshine. The area in which We have grown from seedlings to mature plants has provided us with fertile soil. These are the elements that have aided our gardeners in preparing us for harvest. As we travel all over the world furnish- ing food for others to grow on, we will always remember with pride the garden in which we matured. The Editors

The Dedication of Our Yearbook to Mrs. Vaiden M. Herrington is our small Way of thanking her for all that she has done to further the social and intellectual education of those in our class. She has been patient as an instructor, faithful as a friend, and dependable as an advisor. All of us are both proud and grateful to have known and worked with Mrs. Herrington during our high school careers.
