With your permis- sion, I should like to do some Stargazing that I assure will not result in things, ab- stract, chimerical or fan- tastic. June 10, 1955, will be a great day for you-- graduation. This is a note- worthyachievement. Com- mencement will remainal- ways inmemoryas one of the great occasions of your life. Everyone--parents, relatives, friends, neigh- bors, teachers--will re- joice with you when you receive your diploma. Little willbe given you. The road to worthwhile living is uphill and unpaved. Undaunted, the strong and the brave keep plugging day by day. I know you will be in that number. You will do well to consider the many opportunities available for em- ployment in this area, one of the best you could find in which to live. These hills and valleys, nestled between and touching the Big Elk and the Octoraro Creeks, will nurture you and provide all the elements for successful living, healthfulcli- mate, rich farm land, good churches, schools, roads and sanitation, absence of floods, droughts and devastating winds, sound businesses and industries, and fine people.
