Principal's Message The graduates of 1983 have reached a milestone in their young lives. ln June of this year they received their diploma which indicates that they have successfully achieved the status of a high school graduate. There have been times that each one of them has thought about giving up. However, as they analyzed and care- fully examined the situation, they didn't quit. They knew that they had set their minds to a goal and they were hop- ing to finish their task. lt is important that we all recognize this as an impor- tant part of our lives. Each of us has been faced with diffi- cult tasks at school, at home or at work. We will continue to be faced with difficult tasks as we grow. The real test of how we are judged as human beings is how we handle Sue Ming - Guidance . .M Kirby Nickels - Humanities these decisions. Do we rationalize and find several reasons why we shouldn't do them? Do we put off per- forming the task and at the last minute complain that we don't have the time? Or do we face the issue head on, deal with it and perform to the best of our ability and complete what we began? The decision, in the final analysis, is yours. Only you know whether you really wanted to do something or whether you just did it to please someone. I emphasize this point since l know each of you wants to succeed in whatev- er you do. Successful peo- ple do not quit! Successful people don't know the meaning of the word quit They know that one never gives up if one is going to achieve. So, the choice is yours. lf you want to succeed, and you know your goal- NEV- ER QUIT! May success be yours in your future life.
