To these men, especial- ly those fighting and dying in Viet Nam, America owes a tremendous debt of gratitude. .1 This fight for freedom, though a T continent away from America was brought tragically to Owasso last Decelinbgr upon notification of the 1 Deat o Spec. 4 Bennie Bob Coe. This memoriam is in remembrance of one whom we all knew, one who f , had walked the halls of Owasso High Q , School and one with many frien s. The American youth are ensuring democracy as a way of life by their constant endeavors in the field of education. For some of us learning comes easy, and there are few problems cormected with the obtaining of our educa- tion. However, some must make sacrifices. It is to these, the youth that make the sacrifices, that we ofthe 1966 Trail's End dedicate our annual. These teen- agers in their struggle are demonstrating part ofthe spirit that has made Amer- ica great. Freedom requires responsible people who are willing at times to make sac- rifices in order to see that freedom continues to exist. The American youth that seek wisdom now will be ready later to accept their responsibility as citizens of the United States. America can be sure of her freedom and proud of her democracy as long as we have youth such as these, willing to sacrifice to ob- tain knowledge and ready to serve freedom's cause. We might also submit the thought that often Freedom is not appreciated until it is lost. of physical obstacles.
