Class History The Senior Class of 1953-1954 began its education on September 7, 1942, with Miss Marguerite Parsons as its teacher, The following students were enrolled: Andrew Aulin, Leroy Beasley, Daniel Gore, Elmore Green, Donnie Malcolm, Kenneth Malcolm, Raymond McConaha, Robert McConaha, Billy Meek, Fred- die Wheaton, Richard Wrye, James McGill, Bryant I-lickson, Marvin Fulghum, Owen George, Shirley Jones, Ann Leinhart, Betty Lewis, Carmen Miller, Betty Raulerson, Martha Owen, Joan Saucer and Dorace George, P! In our second year, we had Miss Anabel Benepe as our teacher, F G -nhl 3' In our third year, we had Mrs, Watson as our teacher, We 15 gained Harvey Joe Slayton, the 6'5 center of our basketball team. In our fourth year we had Mrs, Wells as our teacher, 9 I In our fifth year we started with Mrs, Mildred Ulrey as our 'j teacher and continued with Mrs, Ruby P, Lindsay for the re- HL mainder of the year, We gained Bobby Shaffer, our scholar and Martha Jean Hardy, our vocalist, In our sixth year we had 'as our teacher Mrs, B, E, Guynn and later Mrs, Rose- mary Tesinsky. 'S During our seventh year of school, we had Mrs, Thompson as our homeroom teacher. We gained Mary Smithson, our future home- f maker of America, In eighth grade, Miss Lucy Piloian was our homeroom teacher, We gained Ruth Cullum, our future Home Ec advisor, In our ninth year we had Mrs. Thompson as our homeroom teacher. ln tenth grade we had Mrs, Ruth Metcalf as our homeroom teacher, We gained George Domansky, now the richest grocer in Central Florida, Q ln our eleventh grade we had Mr, Paul Mikler as our homeroom teacher, We gained Roy Biestel, our most handsome boy, Ivan Jakubcin, our obliging handyman, Dorothy Miller, our pianist and Thelma Rambo, our future owner of the new, modem dress ll 1 A ix shop i.n Oviedo, In this our final year of school, 1953-1954. we have Mr, Paul Mikler as our home- room teacher. There are fifteen of us to receive diplomas in June. Last Will and Testament We, the Senior class of 1954, will and bequeath to the Juniors, our ability to publish an excellent annual: to the Sophomores, we will our acting ability, and to the Fresh- men, we will our ability to put up with the teachers for four long, tedious years. I, Robert Shaffer, will and bequeath my ability to get along with Mr. Bremer to Keith Malcolm, my ability to get along with Mrs. Aulin to Donn Ulrey, and my poor grades to Pat Walker. I, Thelma Rambo, will and bequeath my shortness to Johnnie May, my ability to get along with Mrs. Metcalf in Home Ec. class to Shirley Malcolm, and my ability to play basketball to Edith Dishman. I, Harvey Joe Slayton, will and bequeath my ability to play basketball to Charles Mentzer, my height to Bobby Cox, and my ability to get along with teachers to Andrew Aulin. I, Ivan Jakubcin, will and bequeath my ability to get along with Mayor Lee Gary to Kay Estes, and my ability to sing to Johnny Selph. l. Ruth Cullum, will and bequeath my ability to get along with Mrs. Smith to Hubert Priest, my height to Mabel Congleton, and my ability to skip school without being caught to Lois Rambo. I, Georgene Parker, will and bequeath my ability to cut up in Home Ec. class to Delores Masters, and my job as typist of the school annual to Nancy Myers. I, Ann Leinhart, will and bequeath my ability to get out of class and get away with it to Bobby Cox, and my ability to get rl1e car every night to Kay Estes. I, Dorothy Miller, will and bequeath my ability to cut up in English class and not get caught to Kenneth Malcolm, and my long blond hair to Ann Pierson. I, Roy Beistel, will and bequeath my 'you guys to all the AWWQ rebels in O. H.
