I T First Row Walter Miller Alan Somers Velmar Green, Joe Galecka Larry Nemcik LloydBearup, Bruce Hofferbert, Jerry Reha Second Row, Rolland Thornton Steve Bakita, Donald Cook, Walter Knaus, Gary Thornton Thomas Winkler Dale Peck, Jerry Skaryd Beryl Clark Bruce Pontious Mr Sim Pynnonen, Advisor Third Row Charles Wadell Thomas Bernath William Chapkc, Philip Pearce Thomas Latz, Del Allen John Miros Ronald Houska Theodore Hartwick Arnold Rosekrans Richard Bates Fourth Row Thomas Van Horn Fred Lauback, John Skaryd, David Easlick Ed Steve Reha, Gary Teelander Robert Bkriba In the regular March meeting the Elsie F F A Chapter elected the follow ing officers to serve for the 1953 5b school year Larry Nemcik, president Joe Galecka vice president Velmar Gp,,n, secretary, Lloyd Bearup, treasurer, Alan Somers, reporter and Bruce Hofferbert, sentinel The chapter sent the newly elected officers, along with their advisor, Mr Pynnonen, to a regional leadership camp held the first week end in April at the Conservation Training School at Higgins Lake Here the officers are trained in the duties of their office, as well as in committee operations The staff of the Conservation Camp always present a very interesting program concerning local conservation problems, such as dead deer count, tour of the Higgins Lake nursery or a study of the forest management practices of the area The Chapter held its annual Parent Son Banquet with some 125 parents, sons and guests present This year the chapter presented honorary pins to Mr E I Knight, a local dairy farmer,and.to Hr William Beach, our school superintendent Millard Holton and Jerry Skaryd attended the State Convention asour-official delegates The chapter discontinued its copperative pig chain because we could not dispose of our excess gilts The gilts we had we sold for feeder pigs t Bruce Pontious The F P A cow owned by Robert Hcuska had another bull calf o a ano F.
