DEDICATIO Miss Rose McKenna, as a graduate of Ovid High School and Geneseo Normal School, you have taught the first grade for 33 years. Sixteen of these years, from 1940-1956, were spent at OCS and seventeen years were spent at various rural schools. You retired in 1956 at the end of the school term in June. While you were teaching, you brought guidance and friendship to all of your students and everyone in school. Your cheerfulsmile and friendly Good Moming or Hi was given abundantly to every person. It is with great pride and sincerity that the class of 1957 dedicates this volume of the Ovidian to you, as our way of saying, thank you for a service well rendered. 2
