CLASS HISTORY As we Class of 1954 retrace our steps we remember our f1rst days as freshmen we began classes 1n September 1950 wxth the roll call numbering forty Our class adv1sors were Mxss Helen Kloph and Mrs Sarah Frankhn The offtcers elected were Jxm Covert Prestdent Ang1eM1l1as V1ce Presxdent Ed McGu1re Secretary and Gale Excell Treasurer Our representauves to student counc1l were Mary Sweet and Harold Larsen We were very proud to be the f1rst class to end our freshman year wtth a consxderable sum of money due to a very successful St Pat s Dance We also sold pop at baseball games and collected class dues We were ftnally on our wayll When we became sophomores our number dimmtshed to th1rty but xt was sttll necessary to have two homerooms wlth Mr Fred Hoppe in 210 and Mrs Sarah Franklm in 211 as advlsors Our offxcers were Ed McGu1re Prestdent Ang1e lvhllas Vtce Prestdent Bev OConnell Secretary and Mary Therluldsen Treasurer We had Gale Excell and J1m Covert represent us 1n student councll Our money ra1sing projects were two bake sales a Leap Year Dance and class dues to reach our goal of S300 ln September 1952 we moved our forces to 210 when we became jumors wlth Mr Hoppe as our adv1sor .Tumor offlcers were Gale Excell Pres1dent Angle Mlllas Vlce Prestdent Bev OConnell Secretary and Ed McGu1re Treasurer wxth Sonny Halsell and Mary Therk1ldsen as our student councll representattves W1th a class of twenty six our ftrst project was sellmg Chrxstmas cards whxch proved very successful.
