Time: Scene: 1971 graduation, at Lake. Eugenia Kaiser PROPHECY The class of 'Sl is havin a reunion twenty years after their James fHoppy? Granger's Mansion overlooking Seneca arrived early to paint Glenn Pur1sh's portrait. Eugenia has her own studio in New York. She got her start painting pic- tures on billboards. Glenn by the way is local exterminator, whose slogan is nBed-bugs, awayln Pat Keady and her swing band filed in the door. Did I say filed or plowed their way in? She has become very famous and she is often spo- ken of as the Harry James with a trombone. Hoppy's house was so beautiful I decided to gymasium was very nice and to my surprise there was basketball. With her look it over. The Norine Poth playing was Bette Lou Conkllng. Bette is now the nurse in charge of the psychoneurotic patients at Willard. Walter, who's now the art teacher at Ovid, is considering helping Francis with his campaign. Sitting on my left was Bob Petteng1ll,who was a successful Lawyer and is now in Congress. He has just proposed a new law. More homework in school and less in Congress. We then drank a toast to Barbara Engel who has just been elected the first Woman Senator. After we finished eating Beverly Boyce played Schubert's Unfin- ished Symphony. It may have been the piano, but Bev d1dn't finish it either. Then we heard from George Ott. He told of his experiences as a pilot. His motto is nAny plane you can build I can wreckn. Emma Therkildsen was sitting with her husband, Jack Christensen, on the veranda. Em a is a private secretary and Jack operates his own information bureau, located in the local pool room for the sake of con- venience. All at once we heard a terrific crash. It was someone wanting to make a speech. She announced, 'If anyone here would care to invest in some slick chicks just call Davenport OO-2 short. The owner of this Chickery Chick Chicken Farm is Miss Betty Deats. The class of 'Sl regrets we d1dn't have more time to get to know Patti Wright for she is now a dear friend to all of us. Like all good things, the reunion had to come to an end. To close this delightful event Janet Amici danced and Bev Boyce accompanied her on the piano.
