Prophecy Time: 1960 Scene: Rest Sanitarium in Pasadena, California IM Covert, running the You're All ln Rest Home in Pasadena, is slowly becoming a ultl-millionaire from the Seniors of the Class of 1950, who have been recovering from the hardships and work in their Senior Year. fNow are you so anxious to become a Senior?J One day after lim got through taking his reducing exercises fit seems he's put on a few pounds here and therel, he was surprised wlth a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Quinn, fthe former Martha Stout! and their two children. Martha is now established in her own Beauty Shoppee in Hayts Corners. In partnership with her is Miss Norma McCheyne, who, it has been claimed, helps beautify your other features. The beauty shop's motto is If you aren't a mess, you will be. Norma has not decided to settle down to married life yet. Well, of all things, here comes Glen Set Um Up White in his little blue Ford. Would you believe it, it still runs. With him is Jim Swish Mannix and Wally Flash McCutcheion. Ovid's three All Stars are all continuing their career in sports. I guess Iim stlll can't see a glrl for a basketball, but Wally is visiting around Ovid frequently. Could Mary be the reason? Marilyn Chamberlain, who is now a music teacher, has announced her coming marriage to a banker. Marilyn got her experience as Treasurer of the Senior Class. Suppose the banker has red hair? We looked out the window just as Jim Simmons drove up in his new convertible. Out rolled his flock of eight kids. Ilm has now settled down tobviouslyl to a happily married life. l-Its llfe's ambition is to be rich enough to retire. Good luck, Jim. We heard a rattle and discovered it to be Cynthia Wiswell arriving on a bicycle built for two. Where's the other party? Cynthia is now maklng a cross country tour to count the stones. Everyone thought she would use modeling as her career, but that biology in high school still remains foremost in her mind. Crash! Don't get excited folks. Remember the three C'sg remain calm, cool, and collected. That was just Mike Benovich, in his new rocket plane, Connle. It's his method of ridding himself of the teachers and girls. Clipety Clop! Clipety Clop 1 Why of all things - it's Doris and Bob Baldorf ln their horse and buggy. It looks like Doris' old saying still remains, I just can't afford it. We were pleased with a visit from the Senator of the state. We knew him as Ray Bowers. Raymond Elliot Paul Bowers Ir. is working on the legislation of a new bill. The bill? No hours of work and higher pay. For goodness sakes, here comes Bob Wing Ding Lynch on a tractor. After a number of questions, we discovered him to be the most progressive farmer ln the last ten years. He raises potaters. A messenger arrived on his motorcycle with a telegram concerning Pat Pemberton. The news? She got her job at Willard. Although a stenographer she still has lack on her mind. The messenger, who turned out to be none other than Bill Harris, has toured the country, but settled down in his father's business. You guessed it, The Shoe Shop. We were pleased with a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Richard Reff, Mrs. Reff formerly recog- nized as Pat Montford. They traveled all the way from Sampson in their privately owned helicopter. Pat is all through Cortland State and has taken over Miss Ttedman's duties. Pat also brought us the sad news that Eileen Stretch O'Connell couldn't escape her kids long enough to visit us. You see, she teaches kindergarten at O. C. S. Ovid should be proud of its teachers now. They're good. They graduated in the Class of '50. 18
