A highlight of the year is the annual Octoberfest between Overton and Hillsboro. The club's ambition is to further acquaint students with the cultures of various Spanish-speaking countries. The club has annually given a scholarship to deserving sen- ior members. The only requirement is an avid interest in Spanish-speaking countries and their customs.
