Swimming Swapped for Shopping As the summer of 1980 drew to a close, students and parents prepared for the new school year, which began on Seprember 2. Preparation varied from visiting the beauty shops, shopping for new clothes, buying school supplies, and completing rhe seemingly endless forms necessary for reais- tration. 1.
