Bands Sweepstakes is Grand Finale During the winter months, Overton students kept very busy with a large selection of activities. The band was especially busy preparing for their con- test on March 11, where they brought home the covered Sweepstakes trophy. Bur there were also other activities like the Soeech Club Christmas Party, the Library Club’s Val-o-gram sale and the band’s Chicken and Dressing Dinner. These activi- ties helped pass the cold winter months!! 1. The cake says it all: OHS BAND S WEEPSTAKES WINNER! 2. Mustang Dribblers dco Their Thing Winter is usually thought of as “‘longjohn’’ time, bur at Overton there is a group of students who are still running around in shorts. They are, of course, members of the basketball reams! Jr. High and High School students alike are very involved in this sport. The students participating in this sport gave their very best at every game and two members of the girls Varsity team won the honor of being named on the All-District Team.
