Each class, from the seventh through the twelfth grades, elects a princess and two duchesses. Each class then raises money for their princess who is a candidate for queen. The princess with the most money is crowned queen, The race this year was unusually close, with the youngest candidate, Lois Nelwyn Harman, coming in first.
