'N A Humiliation, fear, paranoia, mass confu- siong these words often came to mind when the subject of freshman year came up. To many, the bottom of the totem pole is not a good place to be. How did freshman characterize their first year in high school? How do you know youire a freshman'?... L'...on the first day of school you ask someone where a class is and they tell you to take the elevator to the third floor. Pam Stone ...you get lost in the school, all the seniors laugh at you, and when you finally tind your locker, you can't remember the combo.
