XR c 65, l'Did you hear Mr. X is going out with Miss N? No, no, I saw Mr. X with the new, young science teacher. You Isnow, the one with the long blonde hair who bats het eyelashes at all the boys, Really? I can't wait to tell Lisa. Roars of laughter are heard throughout the commons area, Kids malee too much out of a friendship. Most lsids see you at the mall or out to dinner and automatically assume something is going an, said second year social studies teacher Harry Bull. Not only did students run across teacher coue ples outside of school, but several ran into the couple inside school. Math teacher Dee Bond and social studies teacher Jim Bond shared not only their place of worls, but several students. Dean Matt Beatty said, l'Confident individuals can handle relationships in school, If the relation- ship is healthy, their worls is healthy, and that's a good sign, Mr. and Mrs. Bond are a very good example of that. But really, students are very interested in what teachers are dating whom. They are very interested in my private life. It's mostly freshmen who pry into my social life, said so- cial studies teacher Kelly Howard. Another teacher commented on the fact that when he's at a restaurant, and one of his students is waite ing on him, he gets better service from that student. Students really loved to play matchmalser, The scenario usually went Iilse this: Excuse me, Mr. N., could you help me with these algebra problems? By the way, are you single? liust happen to have a truly wonderful, exciting, SINGLE older sister, and itjust so happens I have a picture in my poclsetf' Students have tried to set me up with every sister and mother imagin- able, said Bull. Even though playing matchmalser didn't al- ways worl-a out, it didn't lseep the students from trying or the teachers from seeing exactly who they wanted to, Copy Sue Nachazel Layout Sue Nachazol CushingeHutchison 2
