Former lsirchen helper Helen De- Coma had moved our of the lsirchen and inro the halls. Ar firsr, many srudenrs were surprised ro see her roaming. I wondered what she was doing ourside of the kitchen, said Jr. LeeAnne Paint- er. Evenrually, the srudenfs got used to seeing her as a security guard and accepred her au- rhoriry. Students from last year remembered De- Coma from their trips through the lunch line. Teach- ers appreciared the auier halls and also appreci- ared not having their classes disrupted by unruly studenrs in the halls. Some students, however, felt that while she was doing herjob, somerimes her orders were unnecessary.
