Every year, new students came to Overland who could see things in Overland that those who had been here for years tended to overlools. There were many positive areas in the school that sometimes went unnoticed. As a new student coming in, Soph. Stephanie Ruff said, l like the athletic department at Over- land. They have better coaches and better equipment here than my old school. There were also policies and rules that be- came so normal that they were almost forgot- ten. The closed campus policy was something new students had to adapt to when coming from an open campus school. Stephanie said, At my old school, sophomores, juniors, and seniors could all go off campus. I miss the free- dom. The way that classes were scheduled was so routine to old students that they didn't realize other schools did it differently. Jr. Rebec- ca Price said, l miss variable scheduling where you picls what classes you want, the teachers, and the hours you want them. For the most part, Overland gave a good impression to new students. As Soph. Tad Rine- hart said, Other schools are good but if they were all as good as Overland there wouldn't be any competition for who is better. Taylor-Zundel
