Wlrh years of experience in choral reaching, Smith hoped 'lfo achieve excellence in choral! vocal mue sic and ro show rhe srudenr body rhar singing is an exciring, fun, and meaningful parr of rhe high school curriculum. Srudenrs worlsed on developing rheir voices by warming up ro ger in rune. They also learned to sing in harmony wirh orhers. When aslsed why she fools the class Soph. Sylvia Marin said, I roole rhis class because if I wanr ro go inro music as career, I need ro develop my voice. As rhey wair for class ro begin, Sophs. Melissa Taylor, Melissa Abeyta, and Lysandra Hines warm up rheir voices Choraloires was only one of many choir classes Another change was in orchesrra. Every year many new freshman join rhe class. They broughr new faces, ralenfs, and arfi rudes ro rhe group, rhus helping ro furrher improve rhe class. Learning how ro play an insrrumenr well was difficulr enough, buf learning ro synchro nize wirh a group was a rrue challenge. Jr. Shelia Erhardt said, Everyone should fry a musical insrrumenr.
