Various teaching methods have blend- ed together to produce an effective cur- riculum here at Overbrook. Many teachers here have developed teaching methods that are very effective at holding the stu- dent's interest while thoroughly implant- ing the information. The personalities of our teachers helps to make learning fun. Some are easy-going and tend to guide, some have a firm handg but all are effec- tive in their job. The administration also aids the stu- dents in their endeavors at school. Guid- ance counselors help all students in their career choice, while firm but understand- ing discipline by the administration keep- ing things in line. The staff here at Over- brook really care about the student body as individualsg we are lucky to have them!

Previous to this he was employed by Camden City Schools for twenty years. Mr. Harmelin has worked as a teacher of English as a second Ian- guage, Elementary principal and Junior High principal before he came to our school. As the principal, he is responsible for all aspects of the school program. l-liring teachers, evaluating staff, budgeting for all activities, maintaining an orderly and comfortable environment for everyone, and course offerings are his main tasks. He keeps the school running. ln the future, he wants to see Over- brook and its students ranked Number 1 in South Jersey for their academic achievements, athletics and the quality of their programs, both academic and voca- tional. l-le wants every student at Over- brook to have a sense of pride in their school and in themselves. 5
