'H Assistant Principal You, the youth of today, must be sufficiently strong in spirit, in body, and in mind, if we, as a nation, are to survive. The task that lies before you is difficult, the trials will be many. Success, however, will be yours if you have faith, cour- age, and fortitude. Good luck, and God bless you. Frederick Lynch l '13 l Principal l am privileged to congratulate the Class of 1966. As seniors, you have completed one of the most important phases of your lives, you have laid the foundation for your future welfare and happiness. Each of you will go your separate way. The faculty and admin- istration of Overbrook have provided you with the tools to start you on your chosen endeavor. We sincerely hope that you have obtained the kind of background which is so necessary to succeed in our ever changing world. I feel that we have become a better school because of you and I candidly hope that we have in some way con- tributed to help you make our country a finer place in which to live. Track Donald Reese, Co-Captain One of the best milers in South Jersey, Don in his junior year ran the mile in 4:30 finishing second in Group lll competition. Don anchored the medley relay team to a second place finish at the Bridgeton Relays. ln his three years of track, Don has collect- ed ten medals for first, second, and third finishes in championship events. Due to earlier yearbook deadline dates, last year's track photos were used. William Kling, Co-Captain One of the best half milers in South Jersey, Bill ran the half-mile in the med- 'ley relay at Bridgeton. He finished sec- ond in the Group Ill 880 with a time of 2:00:7. Bill also broad jumps for the track team. Joseph Lesinskas Joe, the top point getter on the team, is a good broad jumper. His best jump is 20 feet 10 inches. In his junior year he tied for second place in pole vaulting in a county meet. Joe is also a sprinter and a quarter-miler. Summary This season's Rams track team should do well in individual contests and in the distance relays. As far as the dual meets are concerned, it is going to be a case of not enough depth. 60 if !v William Morrison Seniors Harry Carman Robert Marraffa Keith Horsey l ' 61 Gregory Judge Dennis Patterson Joseph Cleary in i' Mary McKay Senior Hockey Grace Harrison Barbara Vickery Maryann Birmingham 62 Varsity Hockey ROW 1: M. Seniors 1966 President's Message To the Class of 1966 As seniors, we look back at the years we have spent here at Overbrook. We see the growth, development, and unity that the spirit of the Class of 1966 has brought us. We should learn from our mistakes, remember the good times and be proud of the accomplishments we have made here. We should always keep in mind the standards that the Class of 1966 has tried to uphold and build on the goals we have set. In life we will always carry the memories that Overbrook has left with us. These many thoughts will mean more and more to us through the years. We may forget the small details, but the reminiscences of school will affect our lives in many ways. Now, as the year of the Ram goes by, l wish all the members of the Class of 1966 a future filled with the finest things in life and fond memories of good years. Harry Carman, Class President the future. Kenneth Landis Class Advisor 78 Like many other graduating classes you are leaving school during a war a small one but a war just the same. This by no means signals the end of the world for you. Actually, it will present additional challenges to be met and licked There is no reason why all of you in some way cannot cover yourselves with glory that will lead to happiness and success in So face up to it, the world is going to be here a long time - make it your own Q ,gr +0 WW' OFFICERS we Wfwwff M54 Carol Westort, Secretary Qaeda, James Propert, Treasurer W,,Mw.M,we-m,. , ., .r,, 5 ,rh,, gg Kenneth Ward Vlce President Billie Alba: Lindenwold: Clerical: Marching Band 7,- 8,1O,11: Concert Band 7,8,9,10,11,12: South Jersey Band 9,1O: Dance Band 8,9,1O,,11,12.
