Dear Seniors: As the date of your graduation approaches you will find yourself facing a world eagerly awaiting you. Colleges, univer- sities, business and industry, are vitally interested in the high school graduate of today. Yours is the opportunity to select for yourself a future that can be just about anything you desire. As you go forward through the years, whether in continuing your education or in some form of gainful employment, may you accept the challenges that arise with a confidence which comes from four years spent in acquiring a basic education. As the years pass, though memories dim, may you recall Over- brook not only as one of the happiest times of your life, but as well, as an institution which helped you to develop habits, at- titudes, skills, and knowledge which prepared you to accept the challenges of the future. With you go the best wishes of the faculty and administra- tion and our sincere hope that the future will bring still greater achievements for you. Frank L. June 1954 is an historic occasion for the graduating class of the Overbrook Re- gional High School. It is also important to the Board of Education who have con- sidered it a privilege and a pleasure to watch the progress of your class during the past six years. We hope that we, as members of the Board of Education, have in some way helped you acquire a basis for future success by helping to provide the opportunities for economic, social, and moral development and by making available courses which has as their purpose preparation of the individual for his or her place in our fast changing world. . , We express to you our earnest hope that the effort expended. here will bring to each member of the class the greatest measure of success and happiness. Perhaps they would be more apropos to incom- ing students, however, since preparation for the future is a never-ending process, they do apply to June graduates. Your educational, social, and vocational experiences of the past six,years at Overbrook are just the beginning of many new experiences you will need to unlock the many doors of success which await you. 4'There are no doors closed in Amer- ica, save those you close yourselff' My sincere wishes to each of you for a happy and successful future.
