To you, we extend sincere good wishes and gratitude for the many services rendered us. It was with your aid that We were able to cope with the numerous problems confronting us these past few months. LUCAS L 96 Q95 As we approach graduation, we cannot help but think of the many rich experiences which have been ours during the past four years. The few differences we have had are far surpassed by the many firm friendships we have made, the lessons We have learned, and the knowledge we have gained. p We cannot dwell long on the past, however, without thinking of the many changes - economic, social, and cultural - which have taken place in our country and in the world during these four years. These com- bined with vast changes of a technological nature, give us a picture of the adventure and the challenge of the future. As seniors, we are going forth to join other men and women in making our future a bright, secure one. May God grant us the faith, wisdom and strength to meet the challenges the world offers today and to put to good use the precious advantages of education which we have been so fortunate to have gained. South of the bustling, noisy city of Marseille lies Grand Congloue, under which, in a pocket of rock 160 feet below the surface, lies a Grecian wine ship. ln 1952 Fish Men found this wreck and brought to the surface its strange cargo which now some 2200 years later was to reach its original port of destina- You are captains of your Ship of Life. Your final port of destination in Life's Journey is still hidden in the haze of an unborn tomorrow. But even as a so have you begun your journey on the sea of years. Your friends are your fellow travelers. Select them wisely. All will not be smooth sailing. You will en- counter days of calm and of storm, of health and of sickness, of hope and of despair. And as you ap- proach your destination pause a moment before you make the last entry in Life's Log. Those few sec- onds can seem like an eternity of precious mem- ories if' you know in your hearts that the trials that you have encountered have not been surpassed by mere accident but by diligent application and a faith that passes all understanding. trip around the world begins with but a single s K? lik. f-Ad Dear Seniors, 4 ln the years ahead, as you reminisce and browse through the pages of your yearbook, may the 1118111- ories of your years at Regional be pleasant. It is our hope that among those memories will be the realization that, while a student at Regional, every effort was made to prepare you adequately for tak- ing your place in life. May you remember, hand in hand with those af- fairs of a lighter nature, the hours spent in the classrooms working under the guidance of a faculty whose only desire was to give you the best in edu- cation. Accept those lessons which were taught you, use your knowledge wisely, face life honestly and earnestly, and your memories of the years to come will also be happy memories. Best wishes for the future. May you face life with confidence and determination, then, and only then, will you build success and more pleasant memories. 59257-Misa tion. Time and the sea have hidden, perhaps for- ever, the secret of this ill-fated voyage, and the cause of the ship's foundering. Conjecture leads one to many plausible reasons for its failure-poor navigation, dis nsion of the crew, and perhaps in- abi v the ipas master himself. ,- v gi iv v ag' V9 111-1 MRQ VIRGINIA FORNEROIN Colle e Preparatory da DK 2 NIR AUGUST MULLER Dlrector MR. After the first few bewildering weeks you settled down to earn your place in Regional! history. With the magazine drive you rapidly became veteran salesmen. The Valentine Dance was the highlight of that romantic year with Betty Fly and Benny Nicolletto as Queen and King of Hearts. As Sophomores you re-entered with renewed vigor and Candy Cane Lane was the main topic of conversation during the Christmas season. The following year, how proud you were to display your class rings! At the Masquerade Party how different everyone looked in their Halloween regalia. And what a huge success this new venture was! May your remaining year at Regional be as successful as your past three years. . 'fn' ist, HOMEROOM 202 First row, left to right: Eleanor Freedman, Jean Hartman, Joan Fieger. Nancy Fielis. In football season it marched at all our games, and they were always on hand to play for a pep rally. On a cold Thursday night in October the band was seen in Williamstown where it won second prize in a contest which consisted of high school marching bands from this section. Altogether there was a decided improvement in our hand, and we all wish to extend our thanks to Mr. Murray for all the many hours he spent in making our band the success it was. LONG YEA CHEERLEADERS To these girls we owe our vim, vigor, and vitality which they so willingly displayed for us at our football and basketball games. THE BOYS' CHORUS The year of 1953 marked a new accomplishment for Regional High School. This year we have succeeded in forming a boys' chorus.
