VISIT TO AMERICA'S PILGRIM V IRGIN Low temperatures and snow - and - ice - covered roads could not prevent Merdan devotees of Our Lady from paying tribute to Americis Pilgrim Virz gin, the beautiful statue of Our Lady of Fatima, at St. Mary's Cathedral in Covington, Kentucky. on February 11 and 13. The girls had the privi- lege of kneeling very c105: to Our Lady's Statue durh ing the services, of venerat- ing it afterwards. and of touching her rosary. In the presence of this gracefully carved statue. these youth- ful lovers of Mary consev crated themselves to the Immaculate H c :1 1' t of Mary, pledged themselves to pray for peace. and to make sacrifices for the con- version of Russia. On looking at the beautiful, tender, sweet Virgin it was not hard for any Mel'- cian pilgrim to sense some- thing of the simple gran- deur of Our Lady of Fatima.
