THEME OF '47 MERCEDIAN How infinitely lovely and exciting are the exquisitehbeauties of the Heavens e- the radiant sun, the glowing moon, the flying comets. and the shooting stars h and they are little gifts of everyday from God to us! In appreciation for them and for their beauty that continues to linger long within our souls, we make them the theme of our Mercedian of ,47. Keenly sensitive to the beauty around us, we have seen in our graduates the radiant sun around whom our school and its activities have more or less revolved. All too soon, however, the sun has set. Gradually, it has become shaded by not only the purple hills, but also by the glowing moon, the Juniors. We see in the Sophomores, the living comets, who are sparkling offshoots of those tiny, twinkling stars. out Freshmen, who as yet have not quite shown their real brilliance. Together, the sun, the moon, the comets, the stars, make up a great part of God's beauty. Just like the solar system, Our Lady of Mercy High School moves along its course May it make up a great part of Godhs beauty, 21130! Not only that W may it become a greater part of Godhs beauty, year after year, month after month, day after day!
