English — A Very Important Language English, required at OLG for four years, focuses on a number of teachers. The English staff includes, Sister Jeanne, Sister Mary Cecile, Sister Emily, Sister Cleophas, Sister Marguerite, and Miss Antoineette Pangallo, all teaching a separate branch of English which offers the students a wider variety of courses, ranging from Creative Writing to Vocabulary. The Juniors and Seniors chose their own courses while the Freshmen and Sophomores got a good basis for future classes. Annette Magnant digs up some references fo one of those long assignments. Juniors attentively listen to their informati English teacher. Mr. Dave Geible enjoys being a guest speake this Shakespeare class. Sr. Jeanne proves that there ' s more to Speech class than talking. Sciences — Unforgettable Experiences Determination, hardwork, and think were just a few of the words you heard from students and teachers of the science classes. Sister Marietta and Miss Judy Gossman teaching Biology showed the students a new perspective of life. Both also taught Algebra I with Sister Marietta forging ahead with Algebra II and Trig. Mrs. Alice Meador and Mrs. Karen Stein proved to the students in the chemistry lab that the impossible equation they learned on one of their math classes really did have a use. Kathy Helvary finds cult side. Lynn Hurrle, Maureen Duffin and Cheryl Pier- son perfect an experiment. Dissecting a grasshopper? Kid stuff to these sophomore biologists, Maureen Cannaday and Maureen Gilday. Taking trig really is suicide as shown by the class.
