Talent Expressed In Music and Art Music and Art play major roles in the activities at Grace. Music appreciation, cho- rus, and private piano and voice lessons were taught by the talented members of the faculty, Sister Harriet, Miss Ellen Williams, and Miss Lynn Lineback. Art is offered as an elective for four years along with Art Appreciation for the freshmen. The gifted faculty member in this field is Sister Mary Lambert. Each student is given a chance to express her talent at recitals and picture displays in the Student Center.

The Spirit of Our Faith Is Found in Many Forms Religion classes at Our Lady of Grace are required for four years. Freshmen and sophomores take required courses, while juniors and seniors have the privilege of tak- ing elective courses each lasting nine weeks. New responsibilities were taken on by each religion class in planning such activities as respect-for-life month and friendship week, bringing the school closer together. Each class also took it upon themselves to plan a meaningful retreat.

Social Studies — The Study of Reality and Why. Social Studies is one of the most important subjects in school. In both World and U.S. History we learned that not only good decisions had been made but also bad ones. Through Government and Economics, students learned ways to combat these wrong decisions and make this country a better place to live in. The three experts in these subjects were Father Kenneth Smith, World History; Mr. Michael Hilderb- rand, U.S. History; and Mrs. Kathi Martin, Government and Economics. Jane Eckhart represents the Econ class — it ' s FUN! History is made fun through the superb teaching of Mr Hilderbrand. World History students search for the country that they are studying.
