We decided to return later to see who would win. c ' A Next, we stumbled upon the Burger King situated in Warren, where we saw the newly appointed fafter 40 yearsj lead person, Karen Contazzo. She was helping Donna .loyal fill A s out her one-thousandth Burger King application. In waddled the rotund Gina Johnson A i and themalnourished Debbie McMillan. Gina gaveeher usual order of ten whoppers with l cheese while Debbie had a small water. A s i As Gina and Debbie sipped, we flicked the switch andibright lights appeared on the c C screen. We were about to pause for a bite to eat, but when the Bumbling Lisa brought the food to us. she tripped and fell against the machine, ruining our plans to satisfy our appetites. The next thing we knew, we were looking at beautiful downtown Burbank. Here is located the world famous Como Clinic for the Mentally Incompetentf' named for its founder and now resident, Delores Coutog we were curious to learn how many former classmates we might find there. From the end of the corridor, Natalie Johnson came into view. She was apparently suf- fering from the delusion that she and honest Abe Lincoln were one and the same. She tip- ped her tall black hat and waved the Emancipation Proclamation to the passers-by. Suddenly we heard the lilting voice of Sharon McGeown singing The Battle Hymn of the Republic. As the disturbance grew louder, and the other patients gathered around, in came the resident psychologist, Laurie Pelletier, who immediately began administering drugs to the excited inmates. The attendant on duty, Lori Unangst, aided Dr. Pelletier in bringing the asylum back to normal. At this point, I noticed the time and informed Linda that I must be leaving soon. We felt that before we concluded our adventure, we should look in on how things are progressing at Fatima High. We traveled across the nation, stopping first at Sully's Irish Pub, located in New- port. R.I. The two proprietors, Sharon and Lisa Sullivan were busy waiting hand and foot on their two wealthiest patrons, Lisa Valente, and Kathy Leary. As they started their fifth round of pina coladas, we proceeded to our destination. When we reached Fatima, our computer screen pictured the official Fatima High Bell Ringer. Karen Phillips. In the office, frantically waving her rosary beads, Mother Superior Mary Alves was reprimanding the very senile French teacher, Rose Bottari. Mother Alves hadjust learned of Rose's slight error in her French class. It seems that for the last six months. her students have been taught Maltese instead of French. lt was nice to see that things hadn't changed at Fatima over the last forty years. Seeing my former classmates in their varied walks of life brought back fond memories of the years y A I spent at Fatima High. Q! , Qxsas !
