The legionnaires of Wisdom are only a few in Mary's vast army, but as students of Montfort's daughters, they have the advantage of a more in- timate understanding of its aims and spirit. The obiect of the Legion is the sanctification of its members by prayer and active cooperation in Mary's and the Church's work of crushing the head of the serpent and advancing the reign of Christ. The spirit of the Legion is that of Mary herself. Especially does the Legion aspire after her profound humility, her selffsacrificing love of God and her incomparable faith. Wisdom is proud of its five praesidia with a total of about 80 members. Although their activity is necessarily restricted because of their status as Junior Legionnaires, yet the girls act as a leaven for the entire student body by their Marylikeness.
