NFL Members Seek fo Excel in Speech Activities Officers: Brantly Womack, Vice-Presidents Susan McCarthy, Treasurerg Mary Jo Kyle, Secretary: Mike McConnell, President. Looking through periodicals for debate materials are Iere Surber, Jim Hampton, Suzanne Minshew, Carol Shaw, Jim Paukert, Diane Miller. The purpose of the National Forensic League is to further the interest of interscholastic debate, ora- tory and public speaking by encouraging a spirit of healthful competition and by recognizing the achieve ments of its members. Participation in ten tournaments ranging from local meets to State District Finals increases the enjoyment of participating in competition and fosters a fellowship among the students. Debaters plan strategy: Susan McCarthy, Brantly Womack, Romalie Lohmer, Carol Miller, Elizabeth Einhaus, Lory Bowles, Mike McConnell, Chris Mil- ler, Mary Jo Kyle. Searching for oratorical material-are Cecilia Roehl, Patti O'Kane, Doreen Odom, Alexia Urban, Cathy Frey, Judy Merrill, Terry Howard, Robert Gieb, Cheryl Strittmatter, Bonnie Mercurio, Linda Mills, Jean Senior.

To gain experience in play production is an important purpose of the Genesians, but its purposes go beyond that of artistic de- velopment in drama. Genesians seek Christ behind the footlights: God behind the masque, Genesians Present Dear Rufh Under the direction of Mr. Neal Reck, the Genesians presented Dear Ruth May 26, 27, at Our Lady of Victory High Auditorium. Bonnie Mercurio and Robert Gieb seem lost in their own problems as Alexia Urban and Mike Holmberg carry on a cheerful conversation. John Alldredge appears to be quite bored. Mary Kay Celli and Terry Howard vainly try to calm John Alldredge. Terry Howard screams violent- ly at Peggy Magner in O, L, V, 's presentation of Dear Ruth.
