In preparation for the coming of Christ, students participated in various Advent projects. Each morning before classes began, as many as possible took part in the Advent Wreath devotion held in the corridor near the main entrance. Toward the end of December, the sodalists erected a Nativity scene near the east entrance. Advent he As a Christmas project, each home- room sponsored a needy family. Food, clothing, and toys were brought to school by the girls who wrapped, boxed, and delivered them to the homes in time for the feast of Chrismias. 4995

Christ the King On the last Sunday of October, students at Our Lady of Victory High School participated in the city-wide procession in honor of Christ the King at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. On this occasion the students demon- strated publicly their allegiance to Christ as their King. Behind His banner the young Christians marched and dur- ing the ceremony they renewed their pledges to fight the enemy until right order be restored. Members cleaned the chapel, kept the altar spotless, ironed linens, and laid out vestments for Mass.
