For the most part this increase is due to our pastor, the Very Reverend John Fc-eley. During his short time with us, Monsignor has solved a problem which because of the physical structure of the high school seemed to defy a solution. Formerly, only a limited number of high school applications could be considered. Realizing that many Calho- lic students who really had great possibilities were being denied admittance to our high school, Mon- signor began an intensified space campaign. Tak- ing an inventory of possible classroom availability, Monsignor succeeded in doing the impossible. Now as each class moves up a year, the prob- lem becomes more acute. However, we are certain that he will always be one step ahead of the problem. This year's graduating class has two reasons to congratulate Monsignor Feeley. 1959 marks the year of his appointment as pastor of Our Lady of the Valley, and it is also the year of Monsignoris silver jubilee. Each memncr is a specialist in his own field, and he continues to carry out Christ's command to ago teach all nationsf, We have found that no matter what problem arises, it can always be brought to the attention of a faculty member who will give it prompt consideration. Whether you are in doubt about homework, marks, tests, or even extra-curricular activities, there is always some- one ready to lend a helping hand. With the addition of many lay instructors, our teaching staff has increased to fulhll the needs of an expanding school.
