Matthew Kress, always the gentleman, secures a book for Mar- garet Santanen. Short girls always want tall books, do they not, Matthew? James Leonard enters the library. From his expression we fear that his assignment must already be behind schedule. Joanne Lanfrank shows an intelligent attack in order to secure her information. When Margaret Sullivan uses her glasses, that means she does not wish to be disturbed. Mary Gerrish has found some information of importance for her term paper too.

The student pulse on national, social, economical and school events is felt and recorded through this medium. The Valley proves itself no exception to this honored custom in its proud production of the VALLEY VOICE. Nothing of interest escapes any one of the many reporters. Small wonder then, that this sparkling publication delights the students. Keeping pace with its predecessors, the 1958 VALLEY VOICE has added greatly to the journalistic prestige of the Valley.
