Matthew Kress, always the gentleman, secures a book for Mar- garet Santanen. Short girls always want tall books, do they not, Matthew? James Leonard enters the library. From his expression we fear that his assignment must already be behind schedule. Joanne Lanfrank shows an intelligent attack in order to secure her information. When Margaret Sullivan uses her glasses, that means she does not wish to be disturbed. Mary Gerrish has found some information of importance for her term paper too.

Frequently when the new freshmen make their appearance at Our Lady of the Valley High School, you hear an upperclassman repeat the above sentence. Every- one knows that our library is complete and well-stocked. However, it is necessary to do a bit of browsing in order to absorb the effects of the cheerful atmosphere and to become conscious of the new additions which appear very frequently on the shelves. Whether it is fiction, science, or biography, you will be able to locate the latest and the best. Three new sets of encyclopedias have been added within the past two years. If many of the well-written research papers could talk, they would give the credit to the books in the reference department of this vast store- house of information. Philip Reilly uses; this tome with apparent ease. Today Philip feels like an expert in word power.
