Class meetings were held at which student fervor for their yearbook knew no bounds. Sugf gestions, hints and advice were given to a haggard staff by optimistic students. The staff itself at' tended the Catholic Yearbook Conference and drank from the well of ideas given by experi- enced advisors. Days passed and yearbook work went on. Many a hurdle had to be crossed. The ever present Hnancial problem was completed with a flourish characteristic of Wall Street. With equal brilliance the clipping, pasting and photo taking was done. Then after a brief visit to the printers, the culmination of our efforts came forth- The 1949 Valiant.

Il I TERISTS Smiling and happy these two seniors, Elizabeth Judge and Maureen LeFrancis, return victorious from the Junior Town Meeting on March 16th. QQ -Q-.Q An interesting lesson in the many intricate parts of a Speed Graphic is being given by Francis Wheatley to Charles Theobald, Charles Poppre and Arthur McCrea. We're ready anytime, boys! The Chemistry Club took time from their regu- lar lesson to visit the Orange Pumping Station and thus increase their knowledge of water purification. They're up to their necks in I'-130. The nutrition club under Miss McHugh is learning the importance of a well balanced cliet. After a year of computing their daily calories, we can look for anything in the way of con- trolled avoirdupois. 75
