The seniors, determined to instill in the minds and hearts of all underelassmen, the fervor they themselves had contracted for the Catholic Press, planned a daily and weekly broadcast over the Public Address System in the School. Daily, these uhenior Reporters discussed current Catholic news of interest to their most attentive radio audience. Some summarized a fictitious story they had read in a Catholie puhlieation, and others chose a questionnaire form with which they tested the wits of their radio listeners, Each Ivlonday, the program took on a different trend. A corner in the Valley was chosen, and Street Corner Chatsi' lalossomed forth, The annual Catholic Book Vvleek Play entitled All,the Answers brought to an end this campaign, and the seniors felt justified in the aeeomplishf ment of all their aims and purposesg with a Hnal stress of the slogan for Catholic Press lvlonth, Read wisely, share truth. Mother Rose Vincent, our beloved Superior, gives to the High School Library a number of books in honor of Catholic Book Week, which are smilingly accepted by Margaret Huber in behalf of her classmates. l 1 vs' ,al F. MUHIVS IIHAlll lil Each morning of Retreat found almost the en- tire student body of the High School at the altar rail receiving God's precious gift so neces- sary for us to carry on in this workaclay world of ours. Father Lucian, assisted by Charles Poppre, carries on this wondrous work as he distributes Holy Communion to the Senior girls. Our Retreat Master is instructing a group of our Senior boys in the art of developing their spiritual life in imitation of their Divine Master. Spiritual bulletins and helpful thoughts for Retreat are posted daily on the Bulletin Board. The camera caught one of the Senior groups, consisting of Doris-Kuboviclr, Ann Mehl, Frank Wheatley, Ann McCabe and Samuel Gianti as they copy these down for future reference. ' Well begun is half done is an old adage but one which never loses its truth and effectiveness. Throughout the three-day Retreat, our student body carried out this adage by assisting daily at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated by our Retreat Master, Father Lucian, while their minds and hearts were lifted on high in prayer and hymns of supplication and devotion. f
