WE EXTE Il A HIESHME WHIIIIME 1Z'K f fl Freshmen Day would never be complete without the crowning announce- Z ment of Refreshments, dear to every student's heart! Our Seniors not only decorated themselves but also the tables and then acted as charming hostesses to their younger classmen. Yes, toelay is the wearing of the green! What's that you say, a little early for St. l'atriek's Day? That we' know. But today, my friend, is the long awaited tlay when our Freshmen are oflieially initi' ated into the Valley. Starting proeetlnres off with green hows and ties and a trite speech, the Freshmen came prepared for the worst, But what a surprise when they find a innsieal score, and what's more, Z1 peel-1 into the glorious past of their new Alma Matter. Our Town Crier, lvlartin Conant, told the history of our heloved high sehool as we presented our Valley Alhtiin' whose pages heeame alive onee again with treasuretl songs and danees from our past operettas up to our latest success. Ah! Last, hut not least! Refreshments in the cafeteria and an enjoyable sehool dance Martin Conant, dressed in his finery as the town crier in the Freshman Day Play, reads to the Freshmen a history of their future alma- mater. We really think the costume is quite becoming, Martin! Patriotism is a keynote of every entertainment and so two of our skilled Seniors, Jean Herschel and Eileen Brady, attired in colorful red, white and blue, gave a clever tap dance for the en- joyment of all.
