REVEREND IOSEPH M. LLOBET, C. M. F. Pastor Dear Graduates of l95O: For the Catholic world at large this is the Holy Year. It is a time when the gates of grace are swung open wide to all who wish to partake in the saving Passion and Death of our Divine Saviour, Iesus Christ. In compliance with the Wish of the Supreme Pontiff, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims are journeying to the Eternal City to share in the special graces of this Holy Year. You may share in these same special graces here at home by reciting the prescribed prayers. May these special graces along with the excellent Catholic education you have received in Our Lady Queen of the Angels High School fortify you in the faith of your fathers that you may be a beacon of Catholic light in an atheistic- shrouded world. For the Claretian Missionary Fathers it is the year which marks the closing of the world-wide centenary celebration of the founding of the Congregation. It ends in a fitting climax in the raising to the altar of sainthood our holy Father Founder, Anthony Mary Claret. It shall be my privilege to be a pilgrim in the Holy City this year. I shall attend the canonization services of our Father Founder in the Basilica of Saint Peter on May the seventh, and later have an audience with the Supreme Pontiff, Pius XII. At this audience I shall ask His Papal blessing for the school and for the graduating class of 1950. With my pastoral blessing and personal best wishes to each and every one of you, I remain In the Immaculate Heart of Mary
