That He May Speak Fall retreatants devoted their time to prayer, meditation, and spiritual reading. The guidance of Fathers Kaspar, Howard, and Michael, C.P., linked with the Christ-like example of the Sisters of Mary Reparatrix, enabled seniors to return to school spiritually refreshed. Chaplain lmparts Blessing on Rings Seniors had waited expectantly for the first wearing of caps and gowns, and the opportunity came in the guise of the Ring Blessing Cere- mony. Following the individual blessing of rings, a panel of University of Michigan co-eds enumer- ated the problems which Catholic students face on the secular campus. Father John Bradley, chaplain of the Newman Club at U. of M., moderated the group and referred questions posed by the audience to panel members. Sharon Dobbs, Pat Yount, and Diane Zarza were among Fr. Bradley and the U. of M. panelists look on as Fr. the seniors who pledged once again to uphold the motto Burroughs catches audience reaction to his favorite inscribed on their ring, Virtus et Scientiaf' anecdotes. 54

A bit of humor is enjoyed after the retreat as Father Jacobson shares a joke with Pat Madi- gan, Nancy Schiele, Pat Kulesa, Rosemary Wilhelm, Mary Grace Barlage, and Virginia Banas. Come Apart and Rest Awhilev Mercians accepted Christ's invitation when they took part in the open retreat preached by Father James Jacobson, M.S. An aura of silence pervaded the halls as retreatants attended con- ferences, daily Mass, and meditated on Father's words. At the close of their three day retreat, Fr. Mary Miner, Mary Kay Sweeney, and Diane Ropert browse through the Jacobson imparts the Papal Blessing to lm' pamphlets available for all retreatants. deI'C1aSSm9D- 56
