Marilyn Witham auditions for a scholarship in music sponsored for Catholic high school students by the Archdiocese. Musicians May Merit Scholarships Musically inclined students at OLM develop their talents through Chorale and private music, under the supervision of Sisters Mary Protase and Huberta. As an incentive to further study, scholarships, based on instrumental or vocal abilities, were awarded for the first time this year. Sister Mary Protase served as general chairman of the Archdiocesan talent committee sponsoring the grants.

Adept at playing the piano, organ, violin and clarinet, Sister Mary Huberta is engaged in instructing aspiring musicians. A last minute practice gives Christina Brown a chance to polish up her performance while Paula Francis, Germaine Garrett, Christy Weglarz, and Judy Sallott await their tum at the piano. The Senior Chorale, conducted by Sister Mary Protase, practices for its part in the Christmas cantata. 43
