QA Sister Mary Karl holds a conclave with associate editors, Marion Schultz and Carol Sue Pienta, about the fate of a double page layout while editor, Mary Ann Rosswurm, consults her bible, To the students, the yearbook is a chronicle of the year's activities. To its staff and moder- ator, Sister Mary Karl, it is a daily round of pages to paste-up, headlines to write, and copy to type. Lore editors are beset by pictures that In a rare moment for conference with all her assistants, Virgmxa Benner, photography editor, examines recent pictures with Bar bara Lustica, Doreen Selegan, and Mary Ann O'Connell don't materialize, ideas that won't come, and time that goes too fast. Perseverance against these difficulties results in an annual that suit- ably represents the faculty and student body of OLM. An important process in the planning of an annual is the study of a variety of yearbook styles. Surveying ex- changes are: Ann Groh, senior chairmang Noreen Konner, underclass chairmang Virginia Lierhardg Mary Ellen Kulesa, activities chairmang Cynthia Churski, organizations chairmang Mary Lynne Beras, business managerg Kathleen Morang Kathie Ofenstein, copy editorg and Jacki Phillips, advertising chairman.

Snoopy stands guard over completed copy as Sister Mary Christopher and News Print editors, Cathy Banat,feature ed- itorg Margaret Michalski, business managerg Pat Sullivan, layout editorg Nancy Sullivan, staff photographergAnne Kelly, Diane Perrone, co-editors, meet another inevitable deadline. The third Wednesday of each month finds Fran Yefmak and Chris Taylor distributing News Print to the homerooms. Publications Staffs Log Deadline . . . the word grows louder and more frequent . . . the endless question, How's the News Print coming? . . . the stock answer, Fine Sister Mary Christopher's staff, realizing from the start the importance of united effort in their year-round activity, set themselves to the task of publishing nine editions that headline the academic, social, and extracurricular activi- ties of student subscribers. A spirit of cooperation sets the tone for the News Print staff: Helen Nowicki, Nancy Dalecki, Sandra Capilla, typistsg Nancy Patton, Kathy Molloy, Pat Cahill, Christine DeRosier, staff writers, Peggy Klenner and Mary Dugan, staff artists. As the first manifestation of their Lenten penances, Mary Etta Fisher, Nancy Nobel, and Joyce Ford prepare News Print for local, state and national circulation. 40

Marilyn Witham auditions for a scholarship in music sponsored for Catholic high school students by the Archdiocese. Musicians May Merit Scholarships Musically inclined students at OLM develop their talents through Chorale and private music, under the supervision of Sisters Mary Protase and Huberta. As an incentive to further study, scholarships, based on instrumental or vocal abilities, were awarded for the first time this year. Sister Mary Protase served as general chairman of the Archdiocesan talent committee sponsoring the grants.
