A.A. Sportsmanship Mirrored by' Performing their customary task of setting up additional chairs before a convocation are A.A. reps: Mary Ann O'Connell, Carol Bruce, Carole Dyer, Judy Morrison, Mary Miner, Mary Kay Sweeney, Bernadette O'Neill, Sandra Seehaver, Cecile Blaquiere, Bernadine Kwiatkowski, Suzanne Lemieux, and Nancy Schiele. Under the leadership of Mrs. Sumrill, the Athletic Association strives to impart the quali- ties of good sportsmanship to all students. To reach this goal, intramural games and an annual Play Day are sponsored. The swimming team puts into practice the ideals of the A.A. This year's swimmers prac- ticed with renewed enthusiasm as they sought to defend their championship in the Girls Paro- chial League. Mrs. Sumrill's chief A.A. membership card salesmen, Marietta Charest, presidentg Pat Sullivan, vice-presidentg Lynn Legenhause, secretaryg and Sue Meagher, treas- urer, tum in an enthusiastic report.

The third Wednesday of each month finds Fran Yefmak and Chris Taylor distributing News Print to the homerooms. Publications Staffs Log Deadline . . . the word grows louder and more frequent . . . the endless question, How's the News Print coming? . . . the stock answer, Fine Sister Mary Christopher's staff, realizing from the start the importance of united effort in their year-round activity, set themselves to the task of publishing nine editions that headline the academic, social, and extracurricular activi- ties of student subscribers. A spirit of cooperation sets the tone for the News Print staff: Helen Nowicki, Nancy Dalecki, Sandra Capilla, typistsg Nancy Patton, Kathy Molloy, Pat Cahill, Christine DeRosier, staff writers, Peggy Klenner and Mary Dugan, staff artists. As the first manifestation of their Lenten penances, Mary Etta Fisher, Nancy Nobel, and Joyce Ford prepare News Print for local, state and national circulation. 40
