The will to succeed in scholastic undertakings urges Mercians to maintain this high caliber. Making use of opportunities offered under the capable guidance of the faculty, each girl is eligible for the greatest honor of all -- that of pleasing God. Hard work is rewarded. The Honor Roll is the reward for work done, and provides an incentive to try even harder. Scholastic reward for hard work done, and provides an incentive to try even harder. Scho- lastic achievement is a requirement for the greatest honor bestowed by O.L.M. - that of admission to the National Honor Society. The Melting Pot ol O.L.M.'s Activities Student Council Student Council-melting pot of O.L.M. activities. Here at Mercy, where a multitude of functions continually present them- selves, chaos is averted by the well organized influence of the Student Council governing body. With an executive body of officers and representatives as its hub, the Council reaches out into all branches of student government. Student Council Representatives, elected by members of each homeroom, strive to stimulate student ideas, form sugges- tions into positive action and to present administrative programs to the student body.
