FEBRUARY 1'5- Mr. Innes: L'Hoffman, you don't pronounce it fourbeahg you pronounce it fohabeayiahf' Hoffman: Sir, I pronounce it forbearf' FEBRUARY 16- At least Charley Chaplin's safe. FEBRUARY 22- Who wouldn't know that Hank Ridall would throw a party just to make money? FEBRUARY 25- Sam Haszelbart: Why are you wearing two rings? Don Hunt: The second one is my girl's. Sam: Oh, I see! She loves you and you love you. MARCH 1- Because no mail has arrived from Glencoe, Maryland, for twentyfone days, Jack Ballantyne, with a chip on his shoulder, enlists in the Merchant Marine. MARCH 2- jim Craig sells all his war bonds. MARCH 3- The Indian Hunters from Beaver, who had braved the fast moving Ohio River on their pole boats, paid Shady Side a visit while on their search for better happy hunting grounds. MARCH 4-- A certain known Shady Sider was seen batting down Highland Avenue fwith a wellfknown W.T. senior, in the young lady's light gray convertible Chrysler, trying to acknowledge the coming of spring, but only got pinched for disturbing the public. MARCH 6- Wefuiiss heard the Ssssixth Form Ssspeechess today. MARCH 1 1- Jack Becker received a letter from his one and only, merely to discover that it was written in Morse code. The elite Morewood singer had one of his trustees decipher the epistle, but has been living in misery from the kiddings he has received. MARCH 15- Stokes Adams is still getting mail with ISALYS on the envelope. Everyone is having trouble in finding out the true meaning of the letters. MARCH 16- Mr. Wolf is still looking for the lost boarder of Room 29. MARCH 24- The advent of spring vacation. All the little children are so happy-lot's because they're getting out, and others because they'll see people again. Oh, yes, this bull has to go to the press.
