DAYiContinued NOVEMBER 24- At least we won't get whistled at when we complain about the food at home. DECEMBER 4- The Musical Clubs Dance proved to be quite riotious, as Ed Rieck showed up in full dress and tennis shoes, as Jim White celebrated his fourteenth birthday, as Bill Askin made a fortune ferrying couples across the gorge in front of the Junior School gym, and as Clyde Armstrong threw a wild brawl with milk and crackers at his Beechwood Blvd. chateau. DECEMBER 17- Today starts another Christmas Vacation, unprecedented for the seniors at S.S.A. After all, most senior classes will remember what is going to happen in these two weeks, although not many of them would want to. DECEMBER 29- Open house at Sauers': Bill Chesley now realizes what will be his life's work. DECEMBER 30- Bill Jones, Walt Blenko, and Bill Birmingham threw open the portals of the Uni' versity Club to a mob of Shady Siders and dates. It was certainly interesting to note how many Indians are over twenty-one. JANUARY 6- ' Lou Gruelich's latest flame, Shirley Temple, just turned down Lou for a date to the Musical Clubs Dance which was staged last month. Other young cassanovas seemed to fare a little better than Lou over the holidays, by starting the new year right with a new woman , JANUARY 18- The famous three Uncle Jack Shriver, Sergeant Palmer, and Dean Alex' ander, were assigned to track down the rogues who removed the Rowe Hall statues, Caesar and Cicero, from their moorings to the Sixth Form Campus. JANUARY 19- Cbsgrove delivers his Sixth Form Oration. JANUARY 20- Brazil declares war on the United States. JANUARY 23- The buzzer rang: a shout of fire, and the noise of onfrushing, sleepless boarders echoed through Ellsworth House corridors at ,Z A. M. this beautiful morning, as the gruesome trio, Hairless Cosgrove, Buzzer the Thumper Hunt, and Kidf ney Kid Adams, staged a Ere drill just in case-. JANUARY 25- Kaiser Strachan and Mortal Willey jumped away to the cave of death. JANUARY 28- With a sigh of relief Mr. Page handed out nine diplomas to the accelerated play' boys. No doubt our headmaster was thinking of the restful time he is going to have on not chasing these fellows all over the campus to try to persuade them to use every other line while writing themes. FEBRUARY 2- English Exams: Show by a full description by the use of four hundred metaphors how Samuel Johnson's imagination manifests itself in his treatment of the life of the times in the 18th century England, or quote verbatum the first page of the tenth volume of the Encyclopedia Britannica. FEBRUARY 4- ' Exams over: Students empty their pockets of benzedene, unpack the bags under their eyes, and put on their straight jackets before going to bed in their own little padded rooms.
